Temperature | The Vineyard Year The summer of 2014 was normal in our region, with higher than average temperatures in July and only one heat wave. Average air temperatures in the month of August were below normal, and it was a dry month as far as rainfall was concerned. The white grapes ripened well, with all components in good balance. They were picked from August 17th to early September. Average monthly air temperatures for September were above the normal for 1971 to 2000. As for rainfall, September was extremely rainy, 9 time the average, especially in the last 20 days of the month. |
