The summer of 2012 was a normal one for the region, although higher temperatures were recorded in July, with a heat wave. In September, air temperatures were above normal (1971-2000). As far as rainfall was concerned, in the first three weeks of the month, the amounts recorded were very low or even zero. However, in the last week of September, a significant amount of rain fell.
